Joining Daffodil: Five Clear Steps
We've kept admissions simple on purpose. Five steps, one named point of contact at each stage, and no surprises. Places are available in all year groups, and we accept children during the school year as well as in September. If you're moving school mid-year, you don't need to wait.
If your child is under 5, start with Daffodil Nursery, which takes children from age 2 and feeds naturally into Year 1.

Enquiry Tell us about your child: their age, the year group you have in mind, and when you'd like them to start. Use the short enquiry form, call 020 4539 9737, or email info@daffodilprepschool.org.uk. Our enquiry team replies within 24 hours. We publish that promise because we keep it. Ask us anything
Visit Next, come and see the school. Visits are individual, booked into a set slot, and hosted by the headteacher, Stephen Montford. You'll see classrooms, the mosque and the school in motion, and you can ask anything: fees, Hifdh levels, SEND support, results. Book a visit
Application When you're ready, apply through our online form. It takes you step by step through your child's details, health and SEN information, parent and emergency contacts, current schooling and documents. You can save your progress and come back later. Assessment We invite your child in for an assessment. This is not a pass-or-fail entrance exam. Its purpose is to understand your child's current level in learning and, where relevant, Qur'an reading, so that if they join us they start in the right groups from day one. We consider every application, including from children with SEND (special educational needs and disabilities). If your child has an EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) or other identified needs, tell us early so we can talk honestly about the support we can offer. SEND at Daffodil
Offer & registration If we can offer your child a place, we'll confirm it in writing along with the start date and everything you need before the first morning. Where a year group is full, we hold a waiting list, and you may appeal in writing to the headteacher.
Joining Mid-year
In-year admissions follow the same five steps, from enquiry to start date. Because no class has more than 15 children, a child joining mid-year is noticed, welcomed and brought up to speed quickly, not absorbed into a crowd.
Year 1 entry
For entry into Year 1, your child must be 5 by the start of the academic year. Children younger than that belong at Daffodil Nursery, where funded places are available.
