Daffodil Nursery · Ages 2–5
Daffodil Nursery welcomes children aged 2 to 5 into a warm, unhurried Islamic environment on the same site as Daffodil Preparatory School, in Tower Hamlets. Days are built around the EYFS (the Early Years Foundation Stage, the national framework for children under five): learning through play, guided by adults who know that at this age, feeling safe comes before everything else.
And gently, from the very start, faith is part of the day. Children learn their daily du'as (supplications), hear the Qur'an recited beautifully, and begin the first, softest foundations of their own Qur'an journey. Nothing forced. Everything familiar.

Learning Through Play
Following the EYFS: communication and language, physical development, early literacy and numeracy, and the personal, social and emotional growth that underpins all of it.
Faith Woven in Gently
Daily du'as, the sounds and rhythms of the Qur'an, and the beginnings of Islamic character: kindness, sharing, saying bismillah before meals.
Halal Food, Always
Food served at nursery is halal, always.
Attention, Not Crowds
Like the school it belongs to, this nursery is built around children being known: by name, by temperament, by what made them laugh this morning. Small enough to notice; close enough to care.
Settling in, Gently
Starting nursery is a big step, usually bigger for parents than for children. We take settling in seriously and take it at your child's pace, working with you as partners: you know your child, we know the room, and together we get the start right. Tears at the door are normal; our job is to make them brief.

Funded and Non-funded Places
Daffodil Nursery offers both government-funded places, using the funded early-education hours available to eligible families, and non-funded (private) places. One Journey, from 2 to 11
This is what makes Daffodil Nursery different from a standalone nursery: it's the first chapter of a nine-year story. Nursery children share a site with the Preparatory School, grow up seeing the school they'll move into, and can continue into Year 1 without changing buildings, values or community. By the time your child starts school, school isn't a strange place. It's just upstairs from their childhood.
