Qur'an, character and the full National Curriculum, taught together in classes of no more than 15. Daffodil Preparatory School is an independent Islamic day school for boys and girls in Tower Hamlets, taking children from age 2 at Daffodil Nursery through to Year 6.
No evening madrasah run, no split life. Your child's academic learning, Qur'an memorisation and daily Islamic practice all happen here, inside one coherent school day.

A School Built Around Six Promises
Faith, Lived Daily
Every salah (obligatory prayer) that falls during school hours is prayed in congregation in our on-premise mosque. Mornings begin with adhkar and du'as (daily remembrances and supplications), and the timetable adjusts for Ramadan, including closing for the last ten days. Faith here is practised, not scheduled in later.
Serious Academics
We teach the full National Curriculum for England, alongside Islamic Studies, Arabic and basic Latin, chosen because it strengthens English grammar and underpins modern languages. Pupils sit all standardised assessments, from the phonics screening check to Key Stage 2 SATs (the national tests taken in Year 6), and have verbal and non-verbal reasoning lessons to prepare for secondary transfer.
The Hifdh Pathway
Hifdh, memorising the whole Qur'an, lives inside our timetable, not in a separate evening class. Children are grouped by ability, not age, across three levels: Beginner, Pre-Hifdh and Hifdh, with weekly memorisation assignments and termly assessments.
Small by Design
No class has more than 15 children. That cap is what makes the rest possible: regular one-to-one reading assessments, weekly quizzes in literacy and numeracy, and parent–teacher meetings every half term. Your child is known here: by name, by level, by character.
From 2 to 11, One Journey
Daffodil Nursery welcomes children from age 2, with government-funded hours available, and shares a site with the school. A child can join us as a toddler and leave us ready for secondary school: nine years of continuity, one set of values.
A Day That Works for Families
School runs 8:25am–3:30pm, Monday to Friday. The day doesn't have to end there. Homework Club, Debate Club for Key Stage 2 (Years 3–6), after-school care and a holiday Summer School help working families make the week add up.

Starting Younger? Begin at Daffodil Nursery
Our nursery takes children from age 2 to 5, follows the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage, the national framework for under-fives), and offers both government-funded and non-funded places. Nursery children grow up knowing the school they'll move into.
