Assalamu alaikum,

Dear Parents,

We have had another fantastic week of learning and creativity at Daffodil!

🌟 Year 1 have been exploring family trees, creating their own and learning about different family structures. In Maths, they have extended their understanding of addition and subtraction by using the greater than (>) and less than (<) signs—a great way to build their number confidence!

✍️ Year 2 & 3 have been sharpening their writing skills and exploring narratives. In History, they’ve been diving into the fascinating era of the Romans, enjoying all the fun facts along the way! They’ve also been working on number sentences, strengthening their memory by tackling mixed questions.

🎨 Year 4 & 5 have continued bringing their clay sculptures to life, producing some incredible pieces! Their work has been so impressive that even the younger students couldn’t help but compliment them!

🔬 STEM: All students have been busy designing with our very own architecture and design app, created especially for Daffodil students. It’s been wonderful to see their collaboration, as they give each other feedback and encouragement.

📝 English: Year 4 & 5 are honing their report writing skills by reporting on the fantastic recycling centre built by our talented Year 3s. This has been a great way for the school to come together in support of our sustainability initiative!

🎨 Whole School Art Competition: The submission period has now ended, and judging has begun! We will be announcing the winners next week—we can’t wait to see the results!

NEXT WEEK SNEAK PEAK:

👩‍⚕️ Special Visitor Alert! We are excited to welcome a guest speaker from the paediatric field to give a talk to our students. This is part of our Aspire Initiative, where we bring in inspiring professionals to join the school and motivate our students about different career paths.
