Daffodil Preparatory School sits at 161-163 Commercial Road, E1, in the middle of the East London communities we serve. Most of our families come from Whitechapel, Shadwell, Stepney, Aldgate and Bethnal Green, with others travelling from across Tower Hamlets and the wider East End.
A School Where Its Families Live
We chose Commercial Road because it is where our families already are. For many, the school run is a walk. Commercial Road itself is one of East London's main bus corridors, so families coming from further across the borough reach us easily by bus; if you are planning a route, call us on 020 4539 9737 and we will happily talk through how other families make the journey from your area.
For working parents, the day stretches beyond 8.25am–3.30pm: our wraparound care, homework club and holiday provision are designed so one local site covers the whole day.
Many Backgrounds, One School
Tower Hamlets is one of the most diverse boroughs in Britain, and our intake reflects it: families from many backgrounds and heritages, praying and learning side by side. Part of the Neighbourhood
We work with local mosques and community organisations, because a school should be woven into the community it serves, not walled off from it. Educational trips take our pupils out into London's museums and historical sites; the neighbourhood, in turn, comes through our doors at events and open days.
And the journey can start early: Daffodil Nursery, on the same site, takes children from age 2, so a family in Shadwell or Stepney can have one local setting from age 2 to 11. When you are ready, admissions explains how to apply.
