๐ŸŒŸ Welcome to This Weekโ€™s Parent Blast! ๐ŸŒŸ

Assalamu alaikum!

This week, weโ€™re thrilled to share all the exciting projects happening across the school, with a big focus on sustainability! ๐ŸŒโ™ปโœจ

In Year 4/5 maths, students have been sharpening their skills in measurements, focusing on perimeter, area, and volume. Theyโ€™ve been tackling tricky problems and working hard to master these key concepts! ๐Ÿ“๐Ÿ“๐Ÿงฎ

Year 2/3 have been diving into the world of fractions! Theyโ€™ve been building their confidence and deepening their understanding through fun, hands-on activities. Their hard work is on display in a brilliant fractions wall in the classroom โ€“ be sure to take a look when you visit! ๐Ÿฐโž—๐Ÿ–

STEM has been all about sustainability! ๐ŸŒฑโšก Students have been learning how their actions can protect the planet and have designed their own virtual green cities using laptops. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’ป With their incredible creativity, we will continue developing these eco-friendly cities before bringing their ideas to life with a real-life mini green city, featuring windmills and solar panels! ๐ŸŒฟ๐ŸŒž๐Ÿ’ก

In Year 2/3 art, students have been exploring environmental and social responsibility through creativity! ๐ŸŽจโ™ป This termโ€™s focus is sustainability, encouraging them to think about how they can help the planet. Their project involves recycled art, where they are transforming discarded materials such as paper, cardboard, plastic, and fabric into imaginative masterpieces! ๐Ÿ–Œ๐Ÿ—‘โœจ

History lessons have taken Year 2/3 on a fascinating journey into the world of the Romans! ๐Ÿ›โš” They are learning about the Roman Empire, its inventions, architecture, roads, and social structure. Theyโ€™re also discovering how Roman culture influenced Britain, from the development of towns to the introduction of new foods. ๐Ÿ‡๐Ÿšง

Year 1 students have been bursting with creativity! ๐ŸŒŸ๐Ÿฆ„ This week, they started planning their very own magical animal adventure stories! They created their own unique magical creatures and planned exciting journeys for them. ๐Ÿ“–โœจ Their enthusiasm has been wonderful to see!

Theyโ€™ve also been discussing sustainability and the importance of recycling. Next week, children are encouraged to bring in recyclable materials for a special project! โ™ป๐Ÿ—‘๐ŸŒ

English lessons across the school have focused on The Lorax and the importance of saving trees! ๐Ÿ“š๐ŸŒณ Year 4/5 have been investigating deforestation and its impact on our planet ๐ŸŒฒโ›, whilst Year 3 have been preparing for a lively debate on why trees are so important. ๐Ÿ—ฃ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ’ฌ

Feel free to head over to our Instagram for our daily hadiths; students have been learning about key ideas and we encourage parents to continue the discussions at home!

Finally, students have been working on a very special project โ€“ handmade books filled with letters to their future selves! ๐Ÿ’Œ๐Ÿ“– Forms have been sent home for parents who wish to purchase a copy. If you would like one, please complete the form and submit it to the admin office as soon as possible. ๐Ÿ“œโœ These books are made to order, so additional copies will not be available later! โณ

Thank you for your continued support in making our school a place of creativity, learning, and sustainability! ๐Ÿ’›๐ŸŒŽโœจ

Kindest regards,
