Daffodil Prep Parent Blast

_Assalamu alaikum,_

Dear Parents and Carers,

_We’ve had a truly exciting and eventful week here at Daffodil Prep as we approach the final stretch of the school year . The energy and enthusiasm around the building have been fantastic, and we are so proud of how far our pupils have come! _

Picture Day
Our school picture day took place this week, and the children looked absolutely wonderful in their uniforms and best smiles ! Letters have already been sent home—please ensure photo slips and payments are returned to us by Wednesday, 9th July to guarantee your order is processed on time .

Coffee Morning
A heartfelt thank you to all the parents who attended our Coffee Morning ! It was a pleasure to hear your thoughts and ideas as we begin shaping plans for the next academic year. Your insights are truly invaluable, and we are so grateful for your time, encouragement, and ongoing support . Insha’Allah, we look forward to building on these ideas together.

* Year 1*
Year 1 pupils have been busy reviewing everything they’ve learned this year as they get ready for Year 2 . We’ve been revisiting topics in fun and interactive ways, including matching games, class competitions, and verbal Q\&A challenges . Pop quizzes have been a hit too, helping to build memory, recall, and most importantly—confidence!

* Year 2/3*
In Year 2/3, we’ve kept the learning lively and engaging while preparing for the end of term . Children have been revising previous maths strategies, brushing up on grammar, and enjoying fun recap activities with their peers. It’s been wonderful to see their progress and growing independence .

* Key Stage 2 (Years 4/5)*
KS2 pupils have had a blast this week with a mix of creative projects and structured revision!

In English, we’ve recapped grammar and writing techniques while creating our very own Mini-Me models . Children wrote fantastic step-by-step guides, explaining how to make one—a brilliant way to practise instructional language .

In STEM and Technology, we made balloon-powered cars , exploring how air and motion work together. We also explored sound by learning about echoes, vibrations, and reverberation . Pupils even created colourful help sheets to summarise their learning and prepare for upcoming assessments .

Upcoming Dates for Your Diary

Tuesday 8th July – Parent Evening
We can’t wait to welcome you in for Parent Evening! It’s a fantastic chance to celebrate your child’s hard work and progress this year . Please check your text messages for your scheduled appointment time .

Wednesday 9th July – Sports Day at Victoria Park
Our Sports Day will take place at Victoria Park—and we’re inviting all parents to join us for a morning full of fun, races, and team spirit ! Come along and cheer on your children as we round off the school year with celebration and joy .

As always, thank you for being such a wonderful part of our school community. Your support makes all the difference, and we look forward to celebrating the rest of the year with you .
