Assalamu Alaikum dear parents,

Please have a quick read through our weekly updates! We hope you have a lovely weekend!

Don’t forget to check out our new poster for upcoming dates!

Year 1:

This week, our little learners started their new topic — Fractions! They’ve been learning all about halves, cutting out shapes and showing where to split them evenly

In Phonics, we’ve been reviewing sounds and started reading our new books!

Please make sure your child is reading: Danny and the Bump-a-lump at home. A few minutes a day makes a big difference!

Years 2 & 3:

In History, we’re still exploring the history of firefighting — looking at old vs. modern equipment and how it’s changed over time!

In Science, we’ve been experimenting with mirrors and light! The children have loved hands-on activities discovering how light travels and how reflections work!

Years 4 & 5:

In Maths, we’re diving into pictograms and bar charts and practising our arithmetic methods like mental maths and column addition

We’re also working hard on multiplication — from short methods to long multiplication with bigger numbers!

In Science, we’re prepping for our end-of-year projects! From model ecosystems to electrical circuits — so exciting!

In History, we’re learning about Ancient China, including cool inventions like the compass and papermaking !

In STEM, we’re building balloon-powered cars from recycled materials and learning about thrust and friction! A fun way to link design with sustainability!

As always, thank you for your support and partnership. Have a peaceful weekend ahead!
